Just a heads up to those that send small bubble mailers to Europe from Canada. I went in today to mail a regular bubble mailer and the following shows the price changes.

The price used to be $5.95, but that mailing option is no longer available. The new cost for a small packet air international (under 100 grams I believe) cost me $9.76. Adjust your prices sellers, its a huge increase. This is getting a little out of control.

Cheers

I just mailed a passel of things overseas on Tuesday. Same $5.90 as always.

Addendum: CP's site says the same thing. No mention of an increase. I would challenge your postal outlet.

It looks like another case of refusal to send bubbled-mailers in oversize lettermail, instead charging parcel prices for Small Packet - International Air.

We are a few people to have got problems with clerks in post offices lalety with this. I have a feeling it has a link with the cancellation of the light packet service. They probably got a memo and a couple of them are going crazy over it.

I never drop off bubble mailers sent letter mail USA to the clerks at the post office due to the OP experience. It's always straight to the big red mail boxes.

Luckily for me I only have to walk across the street to drop it in my mailbox. Don't even have to find one of the red mail boxes.

I understand for people that don't sell much. But if you do sell consistently, it would behoove you to just buy stamps from the post office and mail it off yourself.

Could be. They told me the light packet wasn't even available on her screen. I'll try dropping in the red box and see what happens.

Just noticed that not too long ago with PayPal shipping too. They only offer "USA Air Small Packets" for ~$7. This is what I use for thicker 360pt cards as they can sometimes be rejected by Canada Post.
