Canada Post - is it still backed up?

Just wondering what people are noticing with Canada post delivery. I have cards that haven't arrived from December but others I bought a week ago and they have already arrived.

-Bought December 1 (shipped December 18th, from seller) and still haven't arrived

-bought around Christmas (shipped January 5th) still nothing

and I have other examples, but some bought last week have already arrived. Also all my recent purchases have been from Ontario and Quebec and I live in Ontario.

Just wondering if anyone else is noticing a similar trend or do I just happen to have some lost mail

thanks. I figured it should be caught up as nobody was going to post office when it was closed so how big could the back up be

All of my items are caught up as of last Friday. Although items from before the strike were arriving after items I purchased after the strike, it definitely wasn't a first in first out process.

Cards that were waiting to be shipped during the strike went out the first day they were back in operations. Anything that was not tracked seems to have vanished. All cards I have shipped in the last week or so all seem to be flowing normally. Very frustrating.

This is a great point, and thank-you for raising it. I will clarify: My card/parcel stuff is caught up. My *LETTERMAIL*, the stuff CP claims is their forté, remains backlogged badly.

I actually was going to the Post Office to drop off mail the 2nd week. A big crowd of employees (30 people-ish) and then some dick jumps out of a truck and says 'That big red box is the garbage' and then joins the crowd. Obviously they all have Tim Hortons cups in their hand and I was honestly worried about putting mail in the box so I just kept everything until it was over.

Like, who knows what some people will do? Some dick that can afford a truck like this, making $40+ an hour and lives such an accustomed life that they need more money to live like that are probably the most likely to do something disrespectful like that.

To answer the question, I STILL am waiting on a couple packages. 1 came this week. 1 came last week. The week-end before (2 weeks ago) Canada Post e-mailed me saying they have delivered the last of the back-log.

I have also refunded 1 claim on eBay because some idiot could not wait 3 weeks. Also have 1 claim that I have to refund by tomorrow. 1 eBayer in dialogue with me about not having their item yet but willing to wait.

When the strike ended I dropped off about 35 packages, so that is how much I sell. Mostly 1 card packages.

I knew I would have to refund some buyers unnecessarily because of the strike. How many of these packages will actually never arrive? I Can only speak from my end. Still waiting on 2 of 16 packages from 'during the strike'.

I'm waiting on one smallish shipment from COMC that shipped early November. I am hopeful it turns up as we're starting to get other mail that was stuck in the system.

Yes, it could be much worse for me. That being said, the package showed up yesterday. Still waiting for one more.

Some of the packages that were sent just before or just after the strike have started to arrive this week. Many to the folks I refunded already. Good times.
