Canadian buyers: want to save on outrageous shipping fees from American sellers?

Is this to only save shipping fees or duty as well?

There is no duty on cards, only HST/GST and brokerage fees that might be charged by carriers like UPS, Fedex, Canada Post or whoever delivers your package. Canada Post and Fedex don't tend to be bad, but UPS is a nightmare.

Ryan could conceivably save you brokerage fees and applicable taxes, if he claims an amount below the threshold to which Customs usually applies them. For example, if you have him receive $500 worth of cards and only claim their value at $40, then you've likely saved yourself $65 in HST. The only problem is that lying about value is illegal and places any seller/deliverer in a bad spot.

Just received my first 5 card package from Ryan and I saved almost $100 in excess shipping and ebay global shipping import charges (and including his miniscule fee). Couldn't be happier with his service too!

I noticed a side benefit as well for Canadian bidders of US hockey card sellers. I am finding that listings with the global shipping costs associated go for way less than they should as most Canadian buyers avoid those auctions or reduce their bids to take into account the total costs. So, with Ryans help, I am buying great cards at less than market value and not attracting those fees. Woo hoo! Sign me up!

I also just received a couple cards from Ryan. Worked well for me!

I can safely guesstimate that my last box from Ryan totaled triple-digit savings in shipping costs. Easily. Kudos for the help Ry, greatly appreciated.
