Canadian Traders, Get Ready to Pay Double

Two things crossed my mind after reading about this:
(1) obviously the increased cost which seems to be heavily inflated if you ask me
(2) from some of the other comments here, it looks like we will be seeing more and more of the ever-dreaded white envelopes arise from our card deals.......not good!

I can see a big increase in trading with local hobby shops and hitting up alot more card shows in my future... i don't like the idea of $5 shipping to get a few inserts a need for a set when the cards themselves aren't worth that much more.


An end to junk mail would be a nice thing to have happen from the situation.

Look, I'm all for calling Canada Post a bevy of inappropriate words that would get me banned from this site and offend everybody and their mothers, but I'm pretty sure mailing a single card is still under 10mm and would be just $1.96 from the US to Canada, which I think it something like a 4 cent increase...so it'll go as regular oversized instead of irregular oversized.

Just like any other hair brained schemes Canada Post has to make more money...you can easily combat it and not have to spend $9 to ship a card. Leave that to suckers like myself who show up to the post office, get charged that much and are too lazy to take it home to repackage it to save money.

By the looks of their "tests," the bendability test will apply to some trades (1-2 cards will be fine, while several cards in side-by-side top-loaders/team bags may not) and we may, just may, get off lucky here.
