Can't believe ones would pay this?

I was reading the paper today and some guy on the Heat(something like Haslem) had a neat story to share. Every game, theirs a place for players from both teams to pray before the game. They even bring in a pastor. When the Knicks and Heat were playing(not tonight, before the hype took place), Lin and Haslem and some others went into the room. Lin spoke out and Haslem said he heard something that he's never heard before. Lin asked the pastor to pray for him so he doesn't get cut from the Knicks. So they all prayed and the rest is history. Lin asking the pastor to not to get cut by the Knicks made sense at the time. Paper went onto say that he was cut twice before and wasn't playing for the Knicks at the time.

Lin-asity! I picked him up in my Fantasy Basketball league after his first 2 big games (low risk high reward as I dropped a "bench" player who was playing poorly) and now he is consistently playing well for me! He's basically the Tim Tebow story of the NBA this season haha

I picked him up to and I am a huge BBall fan and I am going to watch the Knicks Pacers game in NYC!!!! Dont have tickets yet but I know what they cost and I am going to pay. As for Bball collectors they are nuts but only for super high end. The market for High End stuff is tanking. LBJ autos are a fraction of what they once were. Even greats like Bird Magic Stockton Dr. J and the Admiral have all taken a serious hit. I guess it is more even between the sports now. The greats like howe and yzerman and orr sell for the sameish as the group above.

Where bball fans shell out is super high end

his airness 7k card

Where as hockey fans

Great One 2K card

As for jermey lin he could hold his value. Its not like every card sell for 20k. You can pick up a Rc auto for $300 which is reasonable compared to other HOT Rc Autos

1- he is asian, its not racist or nothing but
a. as noted already some asians collectors have deep pockets and a willing to spend. Look at how much Yao Ming used to sell for and he was just ok. Prob not even HOF.
b.how many good asians have been in the nba 2 maybe 3 who are even noteworthy

2- people love the come out of nowhere guy in any sport. I think this was discussed a bit in the tebow comparison. J Lin was seriously a game or two away from being out of the nba maybe never to return!!!!

3- He plays in the center of the world...atleast the basketball world MSG is the meca. Call me crazy but i think there are a few asians in NYC aswell.

4- He is actually good this guy is no fluke folks you dont do what he is doing in the NBA by luck. Scouting will catch up with him and his numbers should drop especially his scoring. This kid has vision though if they take away his shot he can pass. This brings me to my next point.

5- He is on a good team. Maybe not this year, melo is probably going through the roughest point in his career and I could see it going either way. Amare is solid though and fields looks nice JR smith is always dangerous coming of the bench. If the bockers can pick up a peice or two in the next few years look out. I say fire D'antoni (spelling) unless your bringing in Nash which makes no sense with Lin there.

6- He has a good demeanor sense of humor and is a hard worker. His name is fun to make puns with. People like that stuff.

As far as stockpiling his cards. I so wish I had too but nobody even NBA scouts saw this coming. His was cut by two teams and doubtlessly looked over by all others. He basically got his chance because B. Diddy was injured and Iman Shumpart was being a bonehead.
