Canucks Gamer - Lee Sweatt #57

Was at the Canucks store and saw this on the clearance rack. I knew it wasn't used often as he only played a few (3) games up in Vancouver, and I knew that he played at least one game at home when he scored his only NHL goal.

He did wear this in back to back games in Dallas and Phoenix after his home debut. Played 30 minutes in the two games and got 1 assist.

He signed with Ottawa in the off-season and then quickly retired. He had no rookie cards made as he debut in late January and retired in the off-season, so neither Panini and Upper Deck included him in the 11-12 issues.

Given the uniqueness of his career, I couldn't pass up picking this up.

Wow, this is a cool addition; in 20 years, Sweatt will be about as obscure as they will get (which in my book, is even cooler than some of the big names). I'd love to get my hands on Volpatti some point
