Apparently, Carcillo was yelling outside the officials locker room after the first period of Game 4 vs. Boston, and for yelling before the start of the second on the ice.

Carcillo yelling at officials - 2 game suspension (dirty Flyer!)

Lucic sucker-punches Hedman with a cross - 0 games (Bruins are always picked on).

Makes sense to me. Obviously, being upset and yelling at officials is a far worse crime that punching someone who doesn't see it coming. I accept my ban.

LOL. Even when their team isn't playing anymore, Flyers fans still have something to complain about.

You're right; once my team is out of the play-offs, especially when something happens regarding a player currently on that team, I should not pay attention to it. That's a real fan; only pay attention when they do well.

el-oh-el, bro. Hockey: SRS BIDNESS

It depends on what he said - yelling is one thing; yelling profanities where fans can hear you or calling into question someones sexual orientation are no-nos (not saying that's what he did, just saying we don't have all of the facts).

And it's even funnier you have to keep responding to it with the same old posts. No secret you love the Drama on these boards!

Horton threw the 'dirtier' punch IMO (even thought it was open handed, Lucic was hardly a punch at all. I dont condone what either did, but none of it is suspension worthy.

Now I havent heard what Carcillo said, not have we really heard anything publicly about it up until this point. However, Carcillo is a scumbag, and I would not put it past him to run his mouth in such a way that warrants a suspension.

What goes on behind closed doors is looked at differently than what goes on on the ice, as it should be. We are reminded of Avery's sloppy seconds comment. Funny yes, but inappropriate when he is not in heat of the moment during the game. (Besides, Im sure far FAR worse is said on the ice.....).

What exactly are you mad at? Caricillo getting a suspension or Lucic not getting a suspension? Verbally abusing an official, ESPECIALLY off the ice is as stupid as it gets. Did you really think the NHL would let something like that slide?

I 100% agree with Chris that not all fans should be grouped in with some overly-bias fans point of view.

I have often wondered what makes people here dislike certain teams as much as they do. Is it that they get beat by that team a lot? Did the other team knock your team out of the playoffs? Or, is it just that you get sick a tired of hearing the same people whine and complain about everything that happens to their team like the league is out to destroy them. I know why i don't like the Flyers, and it's not because they knock my team out of the playoffs, or beat them too much :)

I think this has to do more with his Tweet the other day than what happened over a week ago. He had a pretty....shall we say....degrading tweet about a female companion. Only took him about a week to do it after he got his account.

When I heard he was suspended, I assumed it was for the tweet. I still kind of think that's what this is for in the end.

Two totally different situations between Lucic and Carcillo, two totally different outcomes. Thats like comparing Apples to Oranges. Lucic is in the same boat as several NHL'ers who should have, could have, but didn't get suspended in the playoffs this year. I don't see the comparison here.

Better that Carcillo got suspended for being an idiot, then Richards getting suspended for an on ice incident that could have easily seen him missing playoff games......

"Supposedly" he was disrespectful and confrontational with the refs off the ice, what do you expect to happen? You stand outside the principals office and pt them down and swear at them, guess what, you're getting suspended.

My NHL buddies seem to think it's a very important stat!

The other night was a perfect case for why +/- is stupid: Luongo made a horrible turnover that led to a goal. Everyone on the ice got a minus but really, did they have anything to do with the goal? No. +/- is the most overrated stat in the league; bar none.

Agreed. It doesn't always reflect the players play on the ice properly.
