Verified Trader,
Ok, with the Expo almost upon us. I have a question about pricing of cards. I am not attending
the Expo but this question will likely hold true no matter what show you are at.
I know I am in the minority here but I absolutely hate seeing cards in a show case with a
great big sticker price tag on the front of the top loader when I look at sellers showcases.
I always have my cards priced but I always put the sticker on the back side. I figured if you
are interested then ask and we can talk. Plus you can see the entire card when you are checking
it out in my showcase.
So I ask one of the bigger sellers at our local shows what he thought of my method.Well
he was not a fan.He said that in 99% of the cases if he does not see a price he will
not even stop to ask or possibly negotiate on price. He did say to me that he knows about
how I price so he does stop and talks with me.But a lot of people do not.
So I am getting ready for our local show in mid May and I was wondering what you seller that
sell all over the place think.Do you feel it may be in my best interest to flip the pricing over
to the fronts of the cards.Even though to me it really takes away from the viewing of
the card. Will the reward be worth the effort. It is a little bit of work to do this on 10,000 or so cards.
So PLMK your thoughts as either a seller or a buyer what you think. Thanks.
