I have in my possession a 1998 - 1999 Black Diamond #20 Tony Amonte in QUAD DIAMOND form. Emerald background, 4 diamonds running down the side. Beckett states that there is a print run /100 on these cards, and a few I've seen on the bay have had images of the serial numbers on the back.
Mine, however, does not. I've owned this card since it was released about ten years ago, acquiring it at a flea market in a trade.
I've emailed Upper Deck concerning this, but naturally they didn't give any useful information.
Anyone have any idea why mine isn't numbered? Was this an issue for this set in general? Other Tony Amonte's?
