Card Show attendees: What do you prefer

I am creating a poll because I am thinking of moving all my cards from top loaders into binders and organizing them by sets. I have about 6 expo shows under my belt and have noticed the best sellers seem to have binders and binders of sorted cards, or their own cataloguing system. Some have just reams of cards with a sign that says 60% off.. Anyways I wanted to see what you guys like and dislike about how people organize their booths.d

I like everything organized by teams as I only collect Wings but you gotta sort them by whatever is the best selling for you. If you have more set collectors go that route.

It could be long streaming through binders of parallels looking for a specific card whereas when they are organized by sets the collector often knows the exact number of the card since it's on its list

I really don't care to rummage through peoples cards unless it's a small show and there is not much else there.

I'm not a big fan of player sorting, I think that could be done with team sorting. If you collect the player you should know the teams he's played on to check.

I can definitely see the the appeal of having things sorted by set though as many people are set collectors.

I love things sorted by teams as I only collect Blue Jackets.

If you're a set collector you will want the cards to be sorted out by product. Same thing goes by player and team collector. Me myself as a very unknown player collection in hand I would prefer the cards to be organized by player. So that a quick look is all I need to see if seller has the one player I need.

The optimum for me is having them sorted by player, but teams are great too. Often I'll pass by a bin if its towards the end of the show as I'm just too weary to go through it all.

I prefer them sorted by player but by team works almost as well.Unorganized bins are a pain unless it is a REALLY good deal (ie 75% or more off "book").

The poll is pretty even so far.. which makes it difficult to know which was is the best way. anyways keep up the voting because i will change my sorting based on popular feedback

I don't think it matters, as long as the seller knows his product. If you are looking for a specific card, unless it is a base card of a random schmoe, I think any decent seller should know where to look to find it. I'm not saying that the seller needs to know every single card, but as long as he knows where in his boxes a particular player or set would be, I'm all okay with it.

Was at a show earlier today and I had a lot more success and fun going through stuff that was organized. Easier to find what I need.

I prefer team and set. That way I can find the :hawks: cards that I need and whichever set I'm working on, like Black Diamond

I'm all about dealer mistakes and those tend to happen in those rummage boxes. Not saying I'm looking for YOU to make a mistake, but one man's trash is another man's treasure and I think people really dig those nice surprises.

To me, that's what Expo Time is all about...spending time with family, sitting around the fire singing Expo songs and rummaging through dealers' cards looking for stuff they don't know about.

i think set is the best for this

great for set builders and if you are a player or team collector you should know what set your player is in so shouldnt be too hard to find them (as long as the cards are by numerical order)

Funny, I asked a Chaos versus Order before the Expo, and it was 60% chaos, versus 40% order, and here only 26% of all responses like chaos. You HI people are unpredictable! The bottom line is that no one method is going to please everyone. To be honest my rummage piles hardly got a look at the Expo.

If you know our Expo booths, you know our Set Killer's Corner. We get at least 50 collectors who now come to us first because they know we keep the boxes sorted by set (all SPx in one monster box sorted by year, then insert set). They'll also pay a bit of a premium not to have to hunt all over the damned place for stuff.

It's all 3200-count boxes with marked dividers, that's it.
