Carrying case recommendations?

After a quick trip to Michaels and some creativity:

I've been trying to find a nice carrying case for my cards and haven't come across anything decent.

I know there are the cardboard card boxes and even the Cup tins, etc. but I want something nice.

Here are is something "ideal" for me:

• Aluminum case with handle (I prefer alum, but would live with other materials)
• Carry 25-30 cards in 1-touch cases (ability to organize is a plus)
• Rain-proof?

I mean the case doesn't have to be designed for cards, just the right size is fine. This one seems to fit all my needs, but I dont' want to look like a contractor at a card show:

Can anybody point me in the right direction? I contacted some company and can get a custom one done, but would be in the $150+ area. I'm hoping to keep it under $100.

IIRC, I saw a dealer/vendor at TCS with a very nice one (I think it was Ryan, but not positive) if you see this can you comment?

RONA has some lockable aluminum cases they carry that have adjustable inserts to allow you to customize the storage area to the size you want. I grabbed four to store my PC in. Small briefcase style. Under 50 bucks each.

the one you have in your thread is like a tools one

so look into a hardware store over here (home hardware, rona, home depot, lowes, whatever other brands you have there)

Majority or those are too big for what I want. I'm hoping to keep it under 12" length x 10" width, 3-5" high

I did come across a vendor that wouldn't ship to the US. I will try to find it again and see if US members can re-direct it for me

Old ammo cans like this aren't bad either. You can usually find them for under $10 at an army surplus store or flea markets.

EDIT: I know it's not "nice", but at least no one should mess with you carrying a box labelled .50 cal ammunition.

Thanks Tom! I haven't made it to a TCS yet, but it was mentioned that a "Ryan" had a case. I made one for Ryan (black with silver trim) so might know what you're looking for. I've considered making a thread about this before (and still may one day) so here are the pics I've put together. I make all my own cases, each is custom designed/made.

For my Personal Collection (the cards that hardly ever get moved) I used an old camera case, then designed custom framework (overlayed with red velvet) to give it a really classy look. This particular case is designed to hold the museum cases made by Pro-Mold. I somewhat stumbled on the camera case so not sure where you could find one. Here is how it looks:

Then for carrying my nicer traders around, I designed a case to hold about 120 one-touches. I believe this is what you saw Ryan with at the show (mine is obviously different colours/trim etc). I've made a couple of different kinds for a few guys, one had a custom area for graded cards (Beckett sized cases) but don't have any pictures of it. Here is how it looks:

And finally, and never before illustrated, I have made a special case for my Andrew Ladd collection. It's not intended to be portable, rather more of a permanent fixture (so not handles for carrying). Again designed for one-touches. Here is how it looks:

You can do all kinds of things, it just takes time and money

True I can't take credit for the case. Glenn was kind enough to provide me with one of his original cases. Version 1.0 I believe

I will say they are well built, heavy duty and has served me very well. Glenn does some fantastic work! When I usually bring them to the shows they always garner plenty of attention and many positive comments!

It seems like a store, so I'm sure they have multiples. It's too big for what I want, but could fit the needs of many!

CTC has [or used to have] those aluminum cases in their tool box section. But Glenns are far better than anything you can buy
