EDIT: For those unaware of the outcome, Hopkins DID have a separated shoulder afterall. He either tweeted or Facebooked the medical release proving the procedure/medication he was given.

From what I understand of boxing that was a FOUL.

I would have called that a no contest. Hopkins is half to blame for the injured shoulder. Hopkins leans on Dawson and Dawson throws him off like "get off me". The ref is obviously texting during this round! :beer:

I think the INJURY itself is half and half blame. Hopkins' apparently forgot how to walk and place his feet in a reasonable manner when picked up? It to me isn't even much of a reaction time thing...if he hadn't bent his feet awkwardly the way he did, he wouldn't have fallen.

But...the instigating thing was Dawson picking Hopkins up and shrugging him off, which in the little I understand about boxing is also a foul.

I'd say any sort of foul review the Hopkins camp is asking for is fully justified.

I agree that it was a foul. Watching Hopkins fights these days is just tough to do because he is so dirty.
