Checklist: 2018-19 Clear Cut

Just watched a case break and it didn’t have a tribute auto. I realize it’s 1/16 for one and only 15 boxes come in a case but that’s some bad luck.

This is very interesting, I wonder if UD changed the odds on the tributes as the initial sell sheet listed it as 1:15. This way they can justify not seeing tributes in inner cases.

It is really going to be hit or miss with this one. Too bad as it could have really been a solid release.

Yeah I mean it’s one card a box so it’s the biggest gamble you can have. Acetates are sliding out of ones touches which isn’t good

I opened my master case just now.

It seems that you get 1 Tribute card per inner case. I got a Hockey Heroes Header and a Eric Staal Trilogy

In one inner case, I got 2 Canvas signatures, in the other inner case I got 2 Embedded Endorsements.

3-4 Exclusives per inner case.

Redemption cards come with the Rookie Debut Canvas cards.

Collation does not seem consistent though.

Some of the cards look nice, but the whole product just strikes me as gimmicky. Just my opinion, obviously a lot of people like it.

I'll stick with rookies and HOFers, but to each their own.

So I went empty on my first group break (had EDM and PIT). And got honestly the worst 3 autos from the 3 boxes I broke personally (can’t even remember names, except for one Adam Gaudette). But one more group break today with EDM and PIT

Best of luck!

Ok I’m officially onboard with saying this is a dud. My 15 box break again had no tribute rookie. Wayyyyyyy too common for my liking.

When UD releases a product that is both affordable and "good" or popular, it typical means the distributors will hold back and raise the prices shortly after. To the point where the product price is too high to justify buying the product.

This is my biggest pet peeve with the hobby.

I'm not a big fan of not having the cards in my hands. Maybe it would be cool to order sealed boxes directly from UD like Topps is doing with some sets.

I get ya, I'm sort of the same. E-Pack does however address a lot of the problems with the industry: card tampering and repatching, level pricing, easy trading etc.

It also provides a picture database of the serial numbered cards.

It does address a lot of the problems, but it leaves the current LCS out
