Chris Nilan - UD Centennial Auto

So, the latest Chris Nilan auto came and went - the last one finishing for $225.

This was one of the cards I had highlighted to pick up from the set, to go into my small Nilan collection. Needless to say, I passed up on this one.

The first couple on the Bay went for between $100 & $120 and I thought (wrongly) that the price would likely come down... how wrong can you be?

I just wonder how the pricing on this card is comparing to some of the of the autos from the same set? When you consider some of the other names in the set, it seems a little odd that for people doing the auto set, that Chris Nilan would be the set killer. I believe the card was listed as an SSP, any idea (ballpark) how many copies that is?

The Nilan being one of the 5 SPs it is one of the most sought-after cards in the set. I asked UD if they'd be able to divulge exactly how short-printed or at least a ballpark, and was met with static. However, there are some that do even better than Knuckles:
Robinson - I think there have been maybe 2 or 3 on the Bay
Lapointe - tends to end in the $350 - $400 range (except for my mega-steal)
Shutt - there has only been 1 of these on the Bay. It went for a pretty penny and now the guy that owns it is selling it off as part of his 64 out of 65 complete lot.
Lemaire - none has ever surfaced. If/when one does, yikes.

Other big time sellers: Bowman, Roy, Beliveau

Nilan seems to be the most common of the listed SP's. My buddy pulled one. I would guess there are around 10 of those? The others probably 5?
