He was questionable for opening night, but apparently he's ready to go tonight.

I'm sure he'll throw a hip check against a player half his size bent over which will cause contact with the head, and will be given a subsequent 50 game suspension.

Anyone want to play 'how many posts in a Flyers GDT until it is closed' for 82 games this season?

Pronger was out because of an injury?? I thought he made an agreement with Shanny to sit out some pre-season games so he could count them against his first suspension. lol

wasn't Pronger traded for Shanny at once point....

no really I hope is he okay even thou at times I disagree with how he acts

This just in:

I'm Bruce, the Hobby Insider Senior Vice President of Thread Safety. Thursday afternoon in Mantua, New Jersey, an incident occurred in a thread about Chris Pronger...

I'm sorry, I should have said:

Chris Pronger, the 7-time Lady Byng award winner, will be returning to the Flyers lineup tonight. Given the fact that two Flyers have delivered suspension-worthy hits thus far in the preaseason, fans everywhere will be delighted that a gentlemanly player such as Pronger will bring a stable, friendly atmosphere to the lineup, seeing as Pronger is not known as a player who would ever attempt to cause harm to another player. Although Chris Pronger stands a good 6-8 inches taller than most players, Pronger is known as a player who would rather use his blazing speed than initiate contact with other players.

This should serve him well as, in the past, his sheer size alone has caused his shoulders to contact players' heads (John Tavares is a prime example), hits which are now considered penalties and suspendable offenses. When asked about the possibility that a check may inadvertently hit a much smaller player in the head, Pronger stated, "Well, that's just not my game. In the past, if a smaller guy was coming at you full speed, you could bump him off the puck with a gentle nudge. Now that that can be a 50-game offense, I'll just have to use my foot speed and make sure to keep a good 6-8 feet away to make sure that my shoulders don't come anywhere near a player like Nathan Gerbe or any other highly-skilled yet small players."

In similar news, 6'9" Bruisn defenseman has reportedly emptied the Boston area of pepper spray in an effort to use it on attacking players so he will also not inadvertently have a shoulder/upeer arm shrug contact the head.

Honestly? If you wanna post stupid **** like this go to the Flyers online forums and do it there where you'll be surrounded by "like minded (read - ridiculous homer)" individuals. You'll have much more enjoyment stroking each other on there.

Yes, I am the ridiculous homer who wants 2 of my team's players suspended, still does not agree with several moves by the organization in the past month, does not expect them to be a Cup contender, realizes we have severe problems in our 6th defenseman spot, and realizes our season's fate relies solely on the shoulders on one player. You got me.

Also, I apologize for a bad attempt at poking fun of one of the league's more uliked/oft-suspended players.
But the thing about Chara and pepper spray is real.

Your sarcastic drivel about the current state of the NHL has been more than apparent over the last few weeks/months/years and is getting real old.

So block me if you don't like my sarcasm, that's why the option's there. trust me, if you do, I won't lose too much sleep over it.
