I hear he's quite the, um, "character" at autograph signings. You never know what you're going to get. Good luck with this one, homeboy...can't wait to hear the stories, if any...

Eddie Shack is like a box of chocolates. :)

I'm assured that it will be a success... but I certainly expect to have stories to share! ;) Won't be boring at the Toronto Card Show on January 15th, that's for sure!

My favorite interviews with Shack are in the "Legends of Hockey" series where he discusses Tim Horton. He talks about how Horton would come to a teammates motel room and take the door off the hinges during nights of heavy drinking. A small window into the off ice lifestyle of these old timers when they played back in the day. Fitness was a four letter word and the boys sure enjoyed the sauce. No doubt Eddie truly is "the Entertainer".

Part of the fun doing these signings are the great stories you hear from the players and I've been lucky to hear a lot! Shack will have many stories to share! Should definitely be entertaining. :)

For those that do not know or may have forgot, ask him about his Christmas tree sales.
I was a bus driver in Toronto for 18 years before moving out to the Island and all Christmas season for years and years he would set up at Markham & Lawrence SW corner, and I would see him working his trees. Ask him to sing you his little jingle. He is a comedian, no doubt about it.
