INDIANAPOLIS (March 2, 2007) -- Wide receiver Brandon Stokley and defensive tackle Montae Reagor, who both missed much of the 2006 seasons with injuries, were cut by the Indianapolis Colts.
Both joined the Colts in 2003 as unrestricted free agents.
Stokley, a third receiving threat to go with Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, played only four games last season as the Colts won the Super Bowl, catching only eight passes for 85 yards and one touchdown. Stokley missed time early in the season with ankle and knee injuries. His season ended Dec. 10 at Jacksonville when he ruptured his right Achilles' tendon.
Reagor started the first five games before suffering severe facial injuries in an Oct. 22 car crash. He was then placed on the league's non-football injury list ending his season.
Stokley caught 139 passes for 1,916 and 15 touchdowns with the Colts. In 2005, he combined with Harrison and Wayne to become the first receiving trio ever to each have 1,000 yards receiving.
Reagor started 45 games in three seasons, recording 12 sacks.
The Colts offered at least five restricted free agents one-year tenders late March 1 before the midnight free-agency deadline.
The biggest questions surround former Pro Bowl linebacker Cato June, cornerback Nick Harper and running back Dominic Rhodes -- all of whom were starters this past season.
All three are now unrestricted free agents.
