Conference realignment aborted

The only thing I liked about the proposed change was a home and away versus everyone in the league. Be nice to see everyone else twice a year.

I also think that forcing the East to travel and play everyone else on the West coast helps to even the travel if only a little. I realize one West coast trip per year for teams in the East isn't exactly going to put them on par with Vancouver and all, but at least make them do it.

Which is why you dont announce 'big changes' before they are official......

Apparently the vote was 28-2, so pettiness or not, the league did not want it. It doesn't make sense for the Jets to be in the East, but an entire realignment makes even less sense.

The league was trying to chance everything from the conference make up to how the playoffs were decided. One step at a time, the last thing we need to do is change something that isn't broken. The league itself is leaps and bounds above where it was 8-9-10 years ago.
