Congratulations to LSOH for winning the Best Memorabilia Card on HI Contest with his Canadiens triple Made to Order. He wins a box of Enshrined courtesy of ITG and a box from me as well. Chillychow was our runner-up in the contest with his Panini Prime Colors of Stan Mikita. He wins his choice of a $50 gift card to eBay or COMC.

Thank you to everyone for your participation all along and helping this contest run very seamlessly. Whether you submitted cards in the inaugural rounds hoping to get into the field of 32 or sat back, enjoyed the ride and voted all along, your participation and cooperation mean a lot.

Congrats to the winners, and everyone who participated in this awesome contest. Also, a huge shout out to wogman56 for hosting this event. Thanks also to ITG for their prize donation. You guys truly know how to treat your loyal customers, and it made me happy to see that most of the sick cards displayed were from ITG products. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the awesome cards spread out between our great HI members.

Congrats to LSOH!! This was a very fun contest, a big thanks to Wogman for putting and Dr. Price for throwing in the box of Enshrined (can't wait to see what LSOH gets).

Even though I didn't get out of the first round, I didn't get shutout either. Grand total, 1 vote

I am only going to say "congratulations Eli" in this reply for fear that I might offend the more sensitive members on the forum and their supporters.

Everything else I have to say, I will keep to myself rather than post anymore "childish" remarks.

Again "congratulations Eil" and thanks Wogman56 for putting together such a great contest.

A firm congratulations to LSOH for a spectacular card - a well deserved win!

As a finalist, I can tell you that it was very exciting final and I continually found myself checking back to see how the votes were swaying.

Let me also send a huge shoutout to wogman56 for the time and effort it's taken to run a spectacular contest. It was a huge undertaking and I feel it was a massive success. I saw many of the HI members involved in the voting, card submissions and rhetoric along the path to the final. What a great way to bring the community closer together.

Oh, and Dr. Price - I thoroughly enjoyed your comments, however, I'm not sure why you felt the MTO card needed multiple posting support and veiled offers of free Mikita patches to voters. In my opinion, Eli's MTO card was more than strong enough to compete with my Panini card on its own merit. I personally would love to have it as part of my $30k+ ITG card collection.

Chilychow, your card was great. Everything I said in my postings were in fun, I don't understand why some didn't understand that, most did.

I did not make a thread to make Mikita cards, it was humor.

I thought our hobby is for fun and I was having fun, I guess HI members don't get my sense of humor.

Win or lose Chillychow you have a great card to enjoy.

Congrats to both - some sweet cards were shown for sure - I spent much time drooling at my desk here for sure.

Thanks for the show and congrats!

congrats to both finalists, both cards were awesome

annd dr price i found your comment funny, if all card companies president were like you this hobby would be a lot better, you care about the collectors and the hobby and not just into it for the money

that was an awesome contest. It should be done regularly lol..i enjoyed seeing the cards.

Agreed.

Big thanks to everyone who participated and wogman56 for running it.

Nothing wrong with members showing off their great cards as often as possible.

Plus I'd like to show off some of my stuff, I missed the Kings competition. :comp:

Congrats Eli and Chillychow. Both amazing cards no shame to anyone who competed
As to Wogman great idea and this could be the start of something!!!!!

Would love to see this contest a yearly thing for the past years releases only. The sky is the limit but have a company category of 3 champ and the option to have an overall champion if everyone keeps the posting clean.

Only putting this out there as this was very enjoyable to watch right down to the last day and really keeps the interest in the hobby on a high seeing all that amazing cardboard

Great Job Wogman

Thanks for Wogman for running such a daunting contest. Everything ran like clockwork and was certainly not easy to administer over a period of time.

Congrats to the two finalists and great members at HI. Both cards were certainly worthy of the title.

Finally, I like bto's idea. It would probably need some assistance since that would be triple the work of this version, but something that would be great for the summer months.

Thanks all, I have been trying to figure out if I would like to undertake another, similar contest in the future. I thought about Best Rookie Card but that one kind of seems like it would be over when someone posted the best Gretzky, Orr, and Crosby Cup. We'll see if I can come up with anything else over the next few months. Thank you again everyone for your participation, I'm off on vacation for the next week and I will mail Chilly's and Eli's prizes when I get home mid-next week. Can't wait to see what Eli pulls from his two boxes!

Congrats to Eli on his card winning this epic contest. That MTO Triple is an amazing card with amazing vintage memorabilia. Congrats also to Tim on his Mikita coming so close to winning. Also a ridiculous piece of hockey history embedded in a card.

Thanks to all the members for submitting their great cards and thanks to everyone who voted along the way. This was fun to watch and to be a part of.

Thanks to Dr. Price for donating prizes and for being a part of our community. Brian, your posts are welcome here on HI. That you participate here as yourself, instead of simply as the owner of a card company, is indicative of your commitment to the hobby and the community and the fact that you are a collector like most of us. Do not let the negativity of some members affect your involvement on HI.

Congrats to ITG for creating the winner of this contest. And to Panini for creating the second place finisher.

A huge thanks to Paul (wogman) for running this monster of a contest. That took a lot of work and time. While an annual contest like this may be too large of an undertaking, perhaps a biennial contest schedule makes more sense and is more doable.

Good times!

Hello,

First and foremost, I want to say-SUPER awesome contest. Kudos to wogman56 (Paul) for orchestrating this awesome event. Like others have already mentioned, it was a huge success. Its individuals like yourself, who continually make this hobby grow. And make collectors come together. It also allowed collectors to showcase their personal gems. Just goes to show how many spectacular cards are out there. Regardless, your hard work and dedication to this contest will not be overlooked.

Also, props to Tim (Chillychow) for his awesome submissions in this contest. Several which made it to the qualifying rounds. The Mikita patch that made it to the finals, was nothing less than spectacular. Like yourself, I found myself checking the finals thread, on a regular basis. What a back and forth battle. It definitely made things interesting.

Thanks to In The Game for actually making this card possible. It turned out absolutely awesome. And for the other card companies out there, props to them for releasing some awesome cards. Everyone collects something a little different, so its nice to be able to see what's all out there. That's what makes the hobby awesome. You collect what you like. Thanks again for the contest. All the best,

Cheers,
Eli:beer:

Had a great time looking at this thread from start to finish. Thanks to all who posted cards, the winners and the host. Looking forward to the 2014 version.
