Requirments: Post your favorite baseball picture along with a short explanation of why you like it so much. Picture should be of good size; but not too big.

Example:

I like this picture because it shows how hard Ty Cobb played. He was a brutal force on the baseball field, and played with everything he had. This is the best example of that angst.

Timeline:Will end in exactly one week (April the 28th).

Prizes:The winner will get a large lot of "Hall of Fame" cards, ranging from lowend to highend.

Thanks :D

Jackie Robinson signing his Dodgers contract with then owner Branch Rickey. Rickey was known as a rebel and sigining a Black player was as rebellious as it got at this time. Knowing that his rebellion against racism was more fueled by his want to win, his gesture toward Robinson opened the door for thousands of current and future Hall of Famers.

Lou Gehrig's 'Luckiest Man' speech. He's wasting away physically from a terminal disease, and can barely bring himself to speak. It's a shame he died so young, but he has brought a great deal of attention to ALS, which hopefully can help future sufferers of the disease.

Pete Rose a.k.a. Charlie Hussle. Pete never slowed down. Always played hard and played to win, even in the All-Star came when he crashed into the catcher. The all time hit king. This pic is an example of how hard he played. Never walked to first when he was walked always ran.
