Cory Conacher Rookies - Lightning or Senators

After the trade deadline, I started thinking about last years Cody Hodgson / Zack Kassian trade and how Upper Deck kept putting Hodgson Stuff out as a Canuck and Kassian as a Sabre.

Panini however switched it up. Switching the players for all the sets after Titanium which was a funny one as both Hodgson and Kassian were pictured as Sabres.

Anyways with Cory Conacher traded to the Senators from the Lightning and Card products for 13-14 already in production. (I believe score and trilogy are set to release in July)

Would Collectors prefer to see him as a Senator, Lightning or a Mix of Both?

Maybe this thread will help Panini/Upper Deck with their decisions

Considering most product is still a ways away from coming out I'd say Senator. There is plenty of time for the companies to get him pictured in his current teams jersey. No real reason to picture him in a Tampa uniform.

this may be true however there is a good chance that he will have Lightening Jerseys and patches in some products as he wasn't in a rookie showcase and with there being Mem in the early releases odds are in favor that they won't be sen's jerseys.
 
It makes the most sense to have him pictured as a Senator, so I expect his base-set cards to do just that. However, I would hope that both companies do some themed subsets / insert sets that focus on events from a player's rookie season, and that they can make room for Conacher as a Lightning in those situations.

You're right. I fully expect the game used pieces to be most, if not all, Tampa Bay. But being pictured on the cards I expect the opposite to be true.
 
I think the card companies can bite the bullet and get rid of any TB "Game" worn jerseys and go after some Sens :)

BUT I know he will be pictured in a Sens jersey with a TB jersey or patch....

How about a "Rookie Travels" card with a patch/jersey from each team....that is diecut to the games played for each team this year?

We all know the card companies now used "photoshoot" jerseys (except ITG). Just have Conacher wear a Sens jersey, take a picture and cut it up. Problem solved. Most people don't care about game used jersey cards anymore anyway

For my money, I'm hoping he's in a Sens uniform on all rookie cards in 13-14
 
Simple solution, print a two sided card - one side Lightning / the other Senators AND add a whole bunch of SMILIES!
 
blake geoffrion last year had some card in which he was pictured as an habs but the jerseys or patches were from predators jersey, so we can expect that to happen with conacher
 
I'm going to guess that some of the early stuff (Score, OPC, Trilogy) may already have the cards printed and the auto's on them if there auto'd versions, he'll be in a Tampa sweater. The later stuff will be Sens
