I haven't posted much in this forum as of late. But it appears that this is a slow moving forum. Really wished there was more activity in the other sports forums. I don't really want to go to any other forums, as I feel like HI is truly home for me. And I know its the wrong time of year to really talk about baseball. But would love to build some more interest in this section. As I know there are plenty of nice baseball cards on this forum. Anyways, was able to add a few cards this past week. Ran into a collector on EBay who was selling his collection. And some beauties had surfaced. Here we go:
2003 Leaf Certified Fabric of the Game Lou Gehrig Pants w/stripe SP /38
And then this card. It has actually eluded me for a few years now. When I first started getting into baseball, I bid on this card, and just got destroyed on the final price. Think it ended for close to like $330.xx USD. It appeared about a year later, and then it ended up being pulled off EBay. Finally, the card resurfaced a few weeks ago, and I made no mistake. Ended up being the high bidder. And brought it home. I don't usually follow DiMaggio items, unless its a patch or something really unique. I'm a sucker for pinstriped items. Just love the looks of this card. Love the holo-foil etching. Make the card really stand out.
