Crazy thought!!!

I am following this "Crazy thought!!!" with interest since I am faced with a similar dilemma and I would simply sell IP @ Expo.
Some great opinions / suggestions and keep them coming.
At the end, always a tough decision but when the time comes, it's usually a relief!

Thanks for all the responses!!! I'm just at the point that the value of the set is sooo much more than I put into it at this point that it seems silly not to sell it and take my family to Disneyland lol. I remember I paid about $150 for each of the Crosbys and only about $50-100 for each of the Ovechkins. The next highest was the Jiri Hudler as it's impossible to find and I paid around $80 bucks for it. The Crosby and Ovie's go around $1000 bucks a piece now (or getting close). It's just hard not to think about selling it. I know it probably makes the most sense to break it up but I think I'd be willing to sell for a "little" less to save the hassle by selling it as a whole. It's just hard to come up with even a starting number to list it at. I'm tempted to pick a number and just list it high and see if I can get any bites but not even sure what number that should be lol!!! Never thought of an auction house etc. Lots to think about and now you guys gave me even more to think about lol!!!

This would be my worry too. I don't think this set appeals to Goldin's audience.
 
2 more questions.
1.) if I were to list on eBay, what’s my safest way of shipping so I don’t get hooped?
2.) what do you think would be a realistic bin to list it at if I were to go the eBay route?
 
I wouldn’t sell it Pete, I know what you put into that set and even though it’s just card board, I think it’s your favourite set no? Either way you should bring the fam jam to Banff
 
Well Crosby (there's 2) and Ovechkin (there's 4) are going for over a grand each not to mention all the other hof'ers and future hof'ers. Does anyone think someone would be interested in this set if I brought it to Edmonton Expo or should I just break it up and start listing on ebay (this just hurts) but I think I will be moving it.
 
Thanks guys it is a beautiful set. I've dropped the price huge on ebay and would love to move it on here instead. Also putting our feelers if there would be interest in individual cards if I were to break it up? thanks, and feel free to reach out!
