I'm pretty sure crosby wouldn't stop half way through his C when signing his own name... unless he sneezed? haha

that looks like his signature for sure but nothing i would buy really thoose signed in person always looks worse.

I would be so pissed as an athlete to sign in person cards for fans and see that they sell on ebay!!
and why someone who had the chance to meet the guy would sell that! for 35$! unreal!

That's the first thing I noticed, too.

Also, if you check out all his other autos, they're all with the same marker and just as shady looking. You can tell how slow he, I mean the athlete who's signing these cards, is going; none of the autos are smooth or crisp.

It's not even worth it to send one of these things to an authentication service. He's sold at least 2 Bryce Harper's already, maybe he'll be fortunate enough to meet him again and get some more autos. :duh:

Reports incoming.

This is a 100% authentic Sidney crosby autographed card (I signed it myself).

fixed.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

So I messaged the guy and called him out on the autograph(s). Mainly the Crosby. I'll copy the email I wrote to him and his ever so colourful reply back. I'll have to bleep a few of his words. LOL.

My first email to him:
Dear macklinhaig123,

Hey, not sure if you think people wouldn't catch on, or maybe you got scammed yourself, but none of the autographs "you got yourself" are legit. First off, every card that is signed was done with the same marker. All your lines are shaky and easy to see. I don't think that the athlete's would appreciate you selling autographs of them, that they didn't even sign. Just a friendly warning before too many people catch on.

Good luck with your sales.

And his reply: Haha
shows what you know !! in actual fact, these are real autographs. and I have the photos to prove it. oh my god, the same marker? thats because we bought a pack of 10 from costco. we go to spring training ever single year, and get autographs to pay for part of our trip. and, further more, we have season tickets to leafs games. So in other words, you and your "friendly warning" can eat my a**.
f**k off, and keep your nose out of your a** you smug f**k.
have a great day !!

Not quite sure where to go from here. Report him for language or for selling fake autos.
OH and the plot thickens, after I sent him the message, now mysteriously, the Crosby auto is no longer listed. It's slated as "Lost or Stolen".

Comments?

He must have lost the Crosby on his way back from Spring Training. Did you ask for a picture from his personal signing session with Sid?

I reported it earlier, hopefully someone from eBay contacted him about it. Not sure if they'd do that or not, I've never really heard of them doing anything about counterfeits.

Remember the seller who was selling fridge magnets with scans of high end cards printed on them? The stuff people think they can get away with is crazy.

Edit: Wait, did he say he has season tickets to Leafs games? I'm no geography expert, but isn't Regina to Toronto a little bit of a road trip for every home game of the season?

Looks like such an obvious fake, Crosby would never take that long to sign an autograph in person. Most in person autographs I have seen of his look nothing like that.
