COMC now offers grading from CSG. Where do they stand in the hobby? Will being associated with COMC help them grow?

One hobbyist I respect made an excellent point with regard to grading companies supported by COMC:
"Probably it just takes a big customer with a snotload of slabs from one of these new companies for them to be supported by COMC."

Speaking for myself alone, I haven't seen that CSG grading confers the same quality of value premium that comes from PSA, Beckett or SGC.

I don’t just mean they carry their cards, you can submit cards to grade from your inventory.

Both CSG and SGC are totally reputable grading companies of the highest quality but just haven't caught on in hockey yet. As such, cards graded by these companies don't have as much value as cards graded by PSA/BGS.

So really depends on what your plan is. If you're selling, PSA is the best option right now. If you want to hold for a PC or buy, you can get some serious bargains with CSG And SGC.
