Today, well, technically yesterday, we start this cumulative mailcall,
For those of you who are new to the process, thisthread will be home to my next week of mail calls. (or till the few things I'm expecting arrive)
So, keep tuning in and imputting comments as appopriate.
Sadly, the first two days of this possibly great mailweek start out with great disappointment.
Note the top right corner. DINGED!
Reason?
WHITE ENVELOPE.
Why do I know it was the envelope, because otherwise this was packaged perfectly.
In a penny sleve, in a toploader, in a team bag. all brand new.
If you're goign to go to that trouble, why put it in a 5 cent envelope?
I digress, I'm going to email the seller tonight and see what we can work out.
if I paid a buck for shipping ok, but it was 3.
BUT Don't let this thread turn into a white envelope/bubblemailer frag fest.
oh, and the card.
Oldschool tucker for the PC. it's "one of 150"
Next up.
A GREAT guy from the Spawn message board was lookin for some help with some images. Long story short, he offered to get something signed for me at an AHL game, I was game for that.
Well, it arrived today!
now, my smile quickly turned to a concerned blank look as I saw this was CRAMMED into my mailbox (we have those stupid end of the street boxes that are about the height of a regular envelope.
the result?
Note the huge crease in the cardboard, this is where my B of a mailwoman bent this thing like it owed her money.
Crammed in there, difficult to get out, so I can't imagine getting it in.
Well, it's creased, photo and all, I'm unpleased, Canada post is trying to compensate me by sending a check for 25$, sadly, this won't replace the creased photo :/
It's still nice, and it'll hopefully flatten out w/o noticable damage.
ps.
tellqvists auto ****s...haha
Also.
one more note on the 3$ shipping debacle.
I have another card incoming, 3$ shipping, got a sticker on the door today, guy sent via CANPAR. CANPAR!! NOT WHITE ENVELOPE!
:/
oh well.
So that's my disappointingly awesome mailday.
