Cup Price Increase

When did the 11/12 Cup tins go up and over 500.00/tin?

Are they even possibly still worth opening for that price?

I've opened 5 tins from this year, but none at that price.

Last year's tins are 570.00 and I'd say are way more worth it than this years.

I also have a Pending redemption for a Limited Logos Malkin, how freaking long is this going to take ya think? When should I start complaining?

Without a heads up, I got my Malkin Ultimate Signatures back yesterday. I know it's completly different from your Cup card but perhaps Malkin sent back his cards. If he did, hopefully you get your card soon.

The "second wave" of 2011-12 The Cup has some live versions of big cards that were redemptions in the first wave, maybe that is a factor? I don't really follow Cup pricing but maybe $500+/tin is the going rate for any decent Cup year.

My Malkin 2011/12 The Cup Stanley Cup Signatures #/50 was being processed April 1st as per Upper Deck (My redemptions) website.
Normally if UD sends it Fedex it's here in 3 - 4 days and general delivery (USPS / Canada Post) takes 3 -4 weeks.

The Cup has been over $500 for awhile now. I was looking it up like two months ago and it was $550 on D&A. Not worth it.

stamkos21 how was the patch on your LL Malkin? What was your serial #? Just curious as to how many they put out so far....

I received #35/50. It is onthe bay now. That being said, they typically pick the cards random... It does mean 35 have been shipped yet. Good luck

Definitely not worth it at this time.

Nuge and Landy stuff isn't selling so hot, and the season is almost over for many teams.

I'd wait for next year's cup at that price, or go with 2010-11- much better top tier rookie class as of now.

The Cup always goes up regardless of year, its always just a matter of time before it dries up. The old supply and demand model works you know!

We burn through 2 cases of The Cup a week. Just this past week the cost for us has gone up but we're still selling tins under $500.
