I popped into chat a few weeks ago and Bruce said he wasn’t sure if I was still collecting – so Bruce…this post is for you! Please remove me from the collector’s graveyeard and save that tombstone for another day.:beer:
First a little update on the JVR collection. This one has kept me busy for awhile and I’m not sure if I will ever be able to complete it – but it is fun trying. My goal has been to obtain 21 copies of non-serial numbered cards and 21 copies or 21% (whichever is less) of the print run of serial numbered cards (rookie year only and excluding all 1/1’s). I have managed to complete the goal for 104 of the 137 checklisted cards so far. The best, of course, is The Cup. I am up to 393 JVR rookie year cup cards out of a possible 731 for 53.76%. The JVR collection has been fun, but it has really slowed down as newer products are released and not as much 09/10 products being busted. To fill the void, I started a new collection a few months ago when 10/11 Cup was released. I’m not sure exactly what the collection is yet. It started as a 10/11 Cup collection, but has morphed into something larger – and I still can’t figure out exactly what it is.
Thanks to Kevin, Chris, Matty, Luc, Paul, David and Kenney for all of the help with my collections! I had flashbacks of Miss Sally on Romper Room when I typed that…so, romper, bomper, stomper, boo – here we go………
