However, it is a might disturbing that the 'Blueshirts!' are going to rebuild around Jagr!
Hopefully they can get their monies worth outta him? Heaven knows the Capitals tried!

I think that Jagr is a good player to build around if he has the desire to play. Holik will be picked up by another team at a fraction of the price due to the fact he gets 2/3 on the buyout. He's in a win-win situation.

HA HA HA!!! Rangers are such idiots! This one is coming back to bite them in the butt!!
They are one of the big reasons why the NHL was the way it was, so they pay Holik a Billion dollars and buy anyone and everyone, now there is gonna be a cap in place and they gotta buyout the contracts of the guys they now for sure know were the overpaid bums just so they can get their salary lower to stay competitive. Ha glad that happened to such a stupid team! (sorry Rangers fans but their front office are full of bozos!)

As you can tell by my sig, I'm a bit biased toward Jagr. That said, I hope he can handle the pressure (which is an understatement), as he didn't do so swell in DC (another understatement). I just don't think they realize he's not the same player as when he was winning trophies left and right. Maybe the confidence from upper management will kick-start him again.

Jagr was one of the few veteran players that played well for the Rangers in the second half of last season... when the games were virtually meaningless. I'm sure he will be motivated to play well in New York since he will get the media coverage that he so desires. Hopefully, Messier will play another year to also help keep Jagr's ego in check and develop the younger players.
