Vincent Damphouse has also announced his retirement. Another good players career cut short by the lock out.

So that's what, 2 of the 5 NHLPA Executive that will NOT be playing in the NHL? Irbe was also a vice president in the PA. And as John noted Vinny, proved himself an idiot during the lockout. Good riddance to old rubbish and bring on the young guys who want to play for the love of the game.

was a very good player but he had slwoed down the past 2 seasons and with the role he played in the lock out , many teams stayed away from him especially the habs (Daphousse was interested in finishing his career in Montreal) you dont insult one of the greatest legend of this game (Beliveau) without paying the price

Yep and I wish Jean got a hold of Vinny. Le Gros Bill would still shred Vinny to pieces.
