No real surprise here. The particular story; however, is pretty interesting. Regardless he will have next year, at least to right the ship in Los Angeles.

Here we go, all the mountains made out of molehills over the defending champs collapse. Ha.

Sutter is in good standing. Lombardi was his GM in SJ so they're tight, and he brought the Kings two Cup in 3 years after none in over 40 years.

The Kings players need only look in the mirror for this failure..................

With all the talent they have in LA they shouldn't miss the playoffs. Maybe they need a coaching change? He is a solid coach but a change and new voice might help. They won last year while just squeaking in. The players on this team have played a lot of hockey over the past 3 years, maybe a long summer break helps.

I read somewhere that the Kings had 5 more points last year and it was considerd a great success since they won it all but this year is a major disappointment because they missed the playoffs. 5 points for crying out loud. Not much margin for error nowadays.
