Thoughts on the Bunting situation. I hope they leave him in the press box for the duration of the playoffs. Leafs are playing a very disciplined brand of hockey and Bunting could really throw a wrench into the works. Just to clarify, I like the guy, he serves a purpose and creates space for the skill guys. Having said that. I can’t help thinking back to the Kadri episodes of the past when he hurt the team more than helped. If he does get back in I hope he proves me very wrong.
Cheers
Dan,.

I think it is an easy no from my view. They are in a good rhythm now without him. Leave him as a piece to change the chemistry if they need to.

As long as they are winning, there is a perfectly good reason not to put him in.

And if you do put him in, who are you taking out? Knies is the easy answer, but again, why? The kid is playing just fine. And Jarnkrok slots in fine with Matthews and Marner.

In Kadri's case in the past, he had to come back into the lineup as he was third line centre, and was an offensive threat... Bunting is only a forehead slapping distraction waiting to happen.

Leave him in the press box until next year (Sorry to all you folks that loaded up on his Young Guns!)

the lines are rolling and the boys are buzzing. let's leave the team the way they are now.

I say yes. He's their 5th best scorer, plays with heart, and has back to back 20+ goal seasons. Lafferty or Aston-Reese can come out for him. He's Darcy Tucker 2.0 and can draw penalties too.
