After reading a show n tell thread the other day about some patch cards and some either being only seen once or never I thought....Do you have a card that you have the only copy you have ever seen?

Ill start it with this ....this is the ONLY copy of this particular Lemieux I have ever seen its from BAP First Edition

I've got an Odelein 05-06 MVP Gold /100 coming in from ebay. Only copy I've seen since release - although 97 of them are likely sitting somewhere in a dollar bin and 2 still in packs.

Cory Schneider YG HG/10. I have mine, and non of the other 'major' Schneider collectors at the time could find one. To my knowledge, another one has not surfaced yet.

I have this one.

According to the back of the card there were 1200 copies made. There are also 3 other cards in the set. I have not seen another copy of the Richard, nor have I seen any of the other cards. Heck, I don't even know who the other 3 players in the set are.

I've got a bunch of low print run Ranfords that I have never seen another copy of.... but I'm talking about stuff /2, /3, /5. I think MOST of his (modern) cards with more copies than that have surfaced at some point...... though I know of another Ranford collector that has the only copy of his 98-99 MVP Superscript /25 I've ever seen.

A few really tough 90s parallels, I've never seen a copy other than my own either.

Below is the first patch card I ever pulled, and it was about a month after I officially got into the hobby in 2004. The best part is it's one of my favorite players, and a unique serial # as well.
It's the only copy I've seen personally and it's still in my collection to this date.

I have this wonky little Ken Dryden jersey-retirement set for "Accolade Sports" numbered 20/29.

I don't THINK it's a custom-made thing out of someone's basement because what does Joe Schmoe care about licensing and jersey logos, which have been photoshopped out. Which means I think it's a company promotional item I guess. Except I can't find any information anywhere about any of it. I saw the set up on eBay and won it and never saw one after that................

I have a BAP bondra auto from signature series in a Ottawa uniform. Only one I ever saw was mine, and bought it by chance on ebay when the set came out for 3 dollars. Supposed to be 20 but I never saw another.

I have NEVER seen another copy of 99-00 Stadium Club First Day Issue /150 with Tom Barrasso since its release and I was lucky to snagging the first and the only copy ever surfaced at ebay for 2 years ago (from what I has seen)

Strange enough that I hase seen like 30-40 (or even more?) copies of his One of Kind /150 from same brand and year!

Sorry for the poor scan. These cards do not scan well and are so condition sensitive I didn't want to risk damaging them.

The 1995-96 Topps Home Grown Canada Series II is so insanely rare and SP'ed I think less than 100 copies of each exist. I have the complete set and a few of the cards like the Yzerman, Belfour, Neely, Primeau and Richer never surface and the copies I own are the only ones I have seen. Even hardcore Yzerman collections don't have it in their PC.

Yes I've heard the same thing, but I've only seen yours too.

I have no doubt there are others out there (Doc Price tells me all 9 made it out) but I pulled a Tony Esposito Glove Save Silver card from the first year they were out and I've yet to see another in 6 years of searching.

I have a Mike Vernon Motown Madness auto that I've never another copy of. It was never released on the checklist, and I haven't an too much other information on it since.

There is more than one - I pulled one and sold it for over $200 back in 03-04

I have not seen another trilogy of these Kopitar cards. There are only 8 of the patch auto cards so there can't be too many!

Those are super tough, I was lucky enough to find the Philly version of Sean Burke in both silver /20 and gold /5 from that set years ago and those are the only versions of those cards I've seen.

My best,

Ken

There's plenty of x/10 or lower stuff where I've got the only copy I've seen, for me it's more the odd ball stuff where I suspect there are quite a few copies out there but for whatever reason they never show up.

No idea how many copies there are of this Sunkist auto card or even how they were distributed, it took me years to find this copy and I've never seen another...

These guys are numbered out of 30, they were available to ITG VIP members first (I'm not a member) and any leftovers were available on ITG's site, no idea how many got distributed, nor what happened to any leftover stock after their availability period ended (maybe waiting for some stamped Vault product :)). I've never seen any other copy of either show up.

And lastly, these were apparently handed out at the NHL Awards Ceremony, no clue on the print run, I somehow missed out on it in my regular ebay searches, but stumbled across a link to the auction in a Google search. Glad to have scooped this unique one up as I'd never even heard of them nor seen another copy.

Not sure about the autos (they may have been randomly inserted?) but the regular base cards were distributed in bags and boxes of Sunkist oranges. The ones in the bag were a ridiculous **** show. They were foil wrapped but just tossed in the orange bag so when you went to take it out, they were usually bent to hell from being bundled with a bunch of oranges!

My wife bought a bag of oranges all excited that it netted me a hockey card, but the card I nabbed out of the pack (I think it was a Crosby) was so badly damaged that I couldn't even bring myself to give it to kids at the local card show. Apparently she picked out the one that looked like it was in the best shape too

Here are two Gaborik cards that I have only ever seen one of each surface:

2004-05 UD All-World Auto not serial numbered

Only 5 made, but have never seen another... ???

And I have only seen two of these non-serial numbered patch cards:
