Thank God I don't watch ESPN...do they still even acknowledge hockey exists? This dude is the most pompous douche ever.

Good ol Cherry,

calling people in detroit a bunch of red necks, while wearing a ridiculous pink suit.

Cherry is still good for hockey just like Roenick is. Both are out spoken and don't always say the right thing but anyone who loves hockey this much and promotes the sport can't be bad for the sport.

I watch Grapes every Sat night and enjoy coaches corner. Do I agree with everything he says, hell no however he do say alot of good stuff. I just wish he would stop telling everyone how great and smart he is, that part bugs me. Glad to see him donate the money, can't wait for the newspapers to mention it...oh thats right they won't because thats a positive thing.

Grapes has used the "Redneck" term a few time before. I remember a few years ago he talked about his dad being a redneck and that he was a redneck. He is refering to a redneck in a different way then most people think of rednecks.
