Hi, I live in Calgary and i have about 45 subsets and sets that just aren't selling on Kijiji. My neighbor suggested to donate them to a good cause. Do you guys have any ideas? Does any charities come to mind? Lmk and thanks!

Go down to your local arena. Make some young kid very happy. Give them to a coach who can give it to the hardest worker... Most improved etc... Don't give it to the MVP... They always get everything. :) lol

Let me know what subsets you have :) I'm in Calgary and I'll take a look, I'm new to the hobby so I definitely am missing tons of sets and might be interested in purchasing some.

:) Great idea, lemiueuxl66!!! :)

I know another board is working with the HHOF to accumulate every hockey set produced.

Also we team bag base cards and give out to kids at The Toronto Card Show and at the arena.

Children's hospitals are always a great option for donating hockey cards to as well.

I do up team bags twice a year to give to my family doctor who interns gives them out to the kids at his office or hospital. This gets rid of about 5,000 singles each time and I also donate about 8-10 sets to him to give to a few kids that may need a little extra pick-me-up. Local minor sports groups also get helped when ever they ask or if I hear about their end of year closings. According to my doctor the kids love it.Good luck with who every you decide to donate to.Makes a person feel good when you see what a simple thing can do to bring a smile to a kids face. And just maybe they may become a collector someday in return that favor to someone else.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I have spoken with a guy at the YWCA and Im taking my sets to him to give to the children who come into the shelter.
