The covid cases are still 400+ a day in Ontario. The autograph guests needs to start to be announced or the Fall Expo will be in doubt. Just my opinion

Won’t happen. There will be no sanctioned large gatherings in 2020.
FWIW I think they should get creative and do a virtual show. All the technology is in place, I think it would be cool to have an opportunity to drop into a booth, look at inventory - which everyone has scanned already - and make offers / chat
/ network on the spot. This is an event that is tailor made to move to the cloud. Totally opportunity for someone to grab this space right now

The organizer of the expo is doing a virtual version, I believe in late June, if I remember correctly.
June 19 and 20. Gomaz and I are def down to do that.
As for real expo, try 2021 and people will be all over that like horny teenagers lol

There should be info up on the main site soon guys. This came together quickly so please be patient with the organizers as they roll out the information.

Understood, just with people talking about it (I’ve heard it multiple times on your show) it would be nice to get even a quick overview of how it is planned to work.

Being that it is virtual and we don't need to travel any farther than the keyboards in our home, I think we will all have ample time to get the layout of how it works and to navigate it. Look forward to it!
You go to the site (once open) and you will see a bunch of banners for all of teh booths. You click and are taken to that booth where the vendor will either be there live or showing links to their inventory elsewhere (ebay, comc, website). Once at the booth, the vendor can bring you in (i.s., on screen) so you can chat in person or you can start private chats so no one esle can listen in.
The e-commerce piece will be different by vendor and I'm not exactly sure how that will work yet.
Again, be patient. This was developed quickly and they obviously want to get the marketing going so will roll that out as soon as they can.
I am really excited for it and am looking forward to be a part of the first one and then watching it evolve and improve into the future.

Sounds cool. I think this is the future for sure, and for future shows they could do some pretty neat stuff with the format. I will be attending.

So if this is online, the biggest question I have is how do we get the beef jerky?
Yes there will be break out areas and other type of "places" within the virtual environment. One other for example is a Main Stage.

And in the event there is no Fall Expo, you are right, this is the way of the future, at least for one more Expo. But even with real Expo back, there could still be a market for a Virtual Expo on a more regular schedule especially as so many people don't go to the actual Expo. It could become a whole new show in and of itself with some crossover from the actual Expo vendors and patrons and then tons more who don't ever go to Expo.

I hope so, I'd love to grab some shinies without having to go through the somewhat logistically cumbersome trip up there. That said, I'll come again soon to shoot the shizzo and bring my sons to arm wrestle for cards I want. Haha
