Down Goes Lucic.

Good on Prout for sticking up for himself after Milan jacked him the side of the head.....looked like he didn't want to drop the gloves with Prout to begin with.....love it

Lucic makes it nearly impossible to like or respect him as a player. He can dish it out but he certainly cant take it. Punches Prout in the side/back of the head, fronts up like he is ready to fight, Prout drops him, and Looch gets up and sucker punches Prout when he's being held by the linesman and then THROWS HIS GLOVE at Prout. Wow, what a "tough guy". You picked a fight with a guy who was willing and you got dropped, suck it up and go to the box like a man. Don't act like a crybaby and get a game misconduct. That's why the Bruins are so disliked outside of MA, they can dish out big hits and cheap shots all game long, but when someone dishes it back, they act like babies about it.

I think the commentator summed it up nicely when he said..."I'm not sure what Lucic was doing..." and then followed it up with ten seconds of radio silence.

I am happy Prout stand up and got the job done.... reminds me a clip from a blogger i seen....

If Lucic did that to Prout you all would be crying that it was a sucker punch. I just have to laugh.

It seems as though Lucic was engaging, just yet to actually drop his gloves. I'd like to think that I wouldn't jump on Lucic if the roles were reversed. However, he has made it near impossible for any non-Bruins fan to feel any sympathy for him given his past actions.

Lucic said he turned down Prout's challenge prior to overtime. I would too if I'm a first liner and your a plug. Especially, if I beat you in a fight last year. It will be a moot point after next game, because Lucic has basically challenged Prout already. Which of course isn't a smart trade off because let's face it if it wasn't for this who outside of his family, team and jacket fans even knows Dalton Prout?

I was just giving you a hard time at Looches expense since he's a 4 or 5 time cheap shot loser and deserving of some grief for getting dropped and acting like a baby. But this response deserves a big 'ol "C'mon Man" in my best Chris Berman voice. That's a pretty arrogant statement about a guy who works his rear end off and has an NHL job. Unless you are a 38 year old mens league goalie who gets signed to a one day contract as an emergency backup, anyone who has a legit roster spot on an NHL team is much more then a nobody.

If Prout was a Bruin, Bruins fans would love the way the guy plays the game. He has that hard nosed style and edge that you all applaud guys like Lucic, Thornton, Campbell, Marchand, McQuaid, Chara for, but oh, because he plays for Columbus he's just a nobody plug. Got it.....

Lucic just continues to make himself look like a complete idiot with his comments about it. Quote “There have been many times where I could’ve done the exact same thing, and I could’ve held off because he wouldn’t drop his gloves. I find it to be gutless and that’s my thoughts on it.”

I guess he forgot all about this sucker punch which was about as gutless as you can get - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpi_Hm1CTzs

But at the end of OT, Lucic thought it was time to "go". He didn't turn down the challenge, Lucic was picking a better time. He still had his wits about him then.

Hopefully the coaches reinforce this point so he doesn't hurt the team in the next game. Lucic can be a hot head and loses his temper quite quickly, and then the cheap and stupid stuff starts happening.

Regardless of who Lucic fights, since he's a top 6 forward, he is more effective on the ice, instead of the penalty box or getting tossed from the game. So it's on Lucic to "pick" his battles. By engaging, Lucic got tossed and couldn't be eligible for the shootout. Most top line players know this and have better discipline. It's a good strategy for other teams to keep sending their 4th line tough guys to try to taunt Lucic, because it works.

Prout is now my favorite player. Lucic is nothing more than the stuff I leave in the toilet after a hard night of drinking too much.

The biggest panzies out there are the ones who talk the most.

If Lucic learn to shut his hole, he would be a much better player. He has talent, but it is over shadowed by how much of a d-nozzle he acts like.

Lucic is the Kanye West of Hockey

Nail meet head.

Lucic will probably sneak up behind him and jab him in the nuts next time... then go home and smack his girlfriend around. Lucic always keeping it classy!

Lucic is one of those guys that if he is on your team you love him if he is on the other you hate him. 2 years ago when they played the Leafs in the first round he was questioned about if he would fight Frazer McLaren and he said no unless he has to. McLaren beat him several times before and Lucic knew he was in over his head. He isn't stupid enough to think he can win every fight but in the heat of the moment he would face the devil.
