I hate to imagine what some of us would be like if we were given the talent, the money and the fame and the billionaire boys club lifestyle.
It probably happens a lot more than we care to remember or are aware of. I hope that he doesn't do anything dumb like drink and drive etc.
I understand that this is a face of the franchise, but he did bring a cup to chicago for the first time in 40years.
Second, this kid is still in College years and has millions to play with. What I mean by that is he is still in the age range of those in college and has money to do whatever he wants. So impress some college girl, what he going to do....yes flash money, be one of the kids and have fun in the pursuit of T&A!
Not gonna lie....I did too!
Did you ever choke a girl when she turned you down?
Rich guy, everyone there knew who he was, choked a girl supposedly, yet no police report filed against him. Hmm.......
Even without the choking incident, he parties hard openly. Sure, it's his life and he can do whatever the heck he wants. If he wants to party with frat guys and sorority girls, go right ahead. But if some guy there click pictures of you piss drunk or if you're having sex with 19 year olds and people gossip about it all over the internet, that's just the risk that you take. Ask Big Ben Rothlisberger.
Just because you have money, are known to be a douche, it doesn't mean that you should continue to be one. There are lots of millionaires (young ones too) that don't act that way.
With the emergence of social media, these situations tend to get way more attention than they should.
Can you imagine if there was facebook, twitter, cell phone cameras, hand held video cameras, etc back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc like there is now? NHL players, actually all athletes, were way worse back then and athletes are actually way more tame in their personal lives now because of the social media that exists. If these people who bash Kane knew what the super star HOF hockey players were like in their younger days they would probably be appauled. All the athletes that used to smoke weed/hash, snort coke, shoot heroin, party with hookers, beat their wives, involvement with organized crime, etc, it was ridiculous what used to happen in hotels and road trips back then. The athletes of today are much more tame and respectable then they used to be, yet if you didn't live through that era and all you have to go on is the social media era of the last decade or so, then you really have no idea what it used to be like. What Kane is getting belittled for is nothing, and he would have been considered a wuss or light weight by the athletes of the 50s-80s, and if anyone thinks he is the only NHL player who parties like this, well...... I honestly cant believe that people really think this is a big deal, maybe I dont because I experienced the older days of athletes so I know what it was like.
