a good 3 or 4 months ago i won 2 auctions for a box of 06 SPA hockey...I sent a money order worth about $250 US and the seller gave me positive feedback back then....After the "first wave" came and went, I still receieved nothing and he said my boxes would come from "wave 2"...As it is most likely cancelled now(??) I tried to contact him but I cannot get a hold of him.. I have sent him numerous messages through ebay and his email but he has not responded...the auction was too long ago and it has been deleted from My eBay...what are my options? how can i recoup my $250 in cash? what do you guys i should do? how should i handle it? The seller has thousands of positive feedback as well...

Thanks in advance!

Not exactly sure. I had a similar scenerio, but only for $10 or so and a few cards. I promptly paid through PayPal and the cards were to be sent (Eastern Canada - I'm in Ontario). Well, 4 weeks goes by with nothing, so I begin contacting the guy. He comes up with some story and in the end says he has duplicates and will resend. A couple more weeks goes by, and I contact him yet again. He says I should receive them any day. A couple more weeks goes by (now more than two months from the original purchase) and still nothing, nor will he respond to my messages/email. I figure, alright, I file a dispute through ebay and get a refund. eBay respondes with, "disputes can only be filed within 60 days of the original purchase." What did that mean for me? I'm out $10, no cards and no recourse! Thanks eBay!

So, I'm not certain here, and for you're sake, I hope I'm really wrong, but you may very well be S.O.L. Like I said though, I not completely sure and hope I'm wrong.

Best of luck!
Kevin

There is a way to fet a refund from ebay. They charge $25.00 and it akes a while.I lost $34.75 the same way.I did not bother with taking the time for my refund. It would have onlu amounted to under $10.00.Good luck with that one.

Doesnt really seem similar to me...
He paid for 250.00 in wax, yours were 10.00 cards (doesnt matter, a purchase is a purchase)
He paid MO you paid paypal.

If you have the guys address, notify local authorities. Let him know that you have done so. Usually is enough to get the ball rolling.

These are good words of advise from Tom! Remember, to do it in a polite manner.

Something like, Hey, I've contacted the local constabulary and notified them that I will be forwarding a complaint to them in regards to this matter....

Hope everything works out for you. Although, seein' as you paid with a MO! Did you at least keep the #? If so, check to see whether or not it has been cashed.

you didn't act with in the 90 days you are allowed, ebay will wash there hands with this one,you are only covered by ebay insurance if you act before 60 days i believe, and paypal is 90 days i believe, but if you paid by credit card through paypal you still might be able to claim fraud, anyways hope you get something

ending date was mid February....where do you think i could go for help?? Ill keep trying to contact the seller...any othe ideas..?

does this sound resonable...i "asked the seller a question" from one of his acution he has going right now....

sorry to intrude on this auction, but I really need a response on my 2 SPA boxes.... Please just LMK where they Stand as i hear wave 2 is cancelled...For the $250+ that I paid I dont want to have to get involved for a serious refund, but will if i dont hear back...

Pretty good! Too bad you didn't reference the MO Number! :(

Craig good luck with it... I found that preordering boxes that you have to pay in full for always leads to these types of situations. Hopefully this won't be ONLY a learning experience for you and you get your money back... If I were you, in the future I would buy from the guys on this board, they are all reputable and offer great prices...

Thanks,
Rod
