So here's the story... I am currently working in DR Congo and asked Pete (bigzippy) to keep an eye for a few cards for me as internet connections are patchy at best here. Pete agreed and that was that. Last Fiday evening I managed to get onto the internet and the connection was fairly strong, I searched eBay and noticed a card I wanted. I PM'd Pete and said I would bid, all good - I won the card.

I then log onto eBay the next day to pay for the card and it rejects my password. I retype my password a couple of times - still nothing. I then check my personal e-mail acct and have received an e-mail from eBay saying there has been some "unusual activity" on my eBay acct and I should follow the link to change my password. I do not do this, I send the e-mail to the spoof@ebay web address and they reply saying it is NOT an official eBay e-mail. I reply asking what I should do - I have received nothing.

So if anyone knows eBay user ID stormtrooperz (or something like that) Id be grateful if they could pass this on to them. I am due back in England fairly soon and will sort it then.

But as for my eBay acct, I really dont know a way forward. Any ideas?

Chances are if you mistyped your password a couple times Richard, they've locked you out since they probably picked up an unusual IP address and figured someone was trying to hack your account.

I'd say find the link/way into ATO chat and get it sorted out or give them a call when you get back home to see what's up.
