I am just wondering your guys opinion on ebay user names. Basically I want to know if you have passed up an auction just because you did not like a user name. I have one that may be offensive to buyers and sometimes wonder if it hurts my sales. I would love to hear your opinions.

Not only have I passed on there, I've passed in other years on Beckett, and here as well. A few times, it was only days before the trader seller was NARU or Banned.

For me...i really don't pay attention to the names...most importantly feedback, ALTHOUGH! LOL there is one I can never get out of my head...ironically watch it be you! ;) The sellers name is "Fullcolostomybag".....not sure if I want to know the story behind that one! lol

No not me, that's Craig. My name is dickasaurus69. I do have 100 percent feedback with a score of 343.

think that was Craig....though he's not as active on the forums anymore. and it's fullbag for short. ;)

dickasaurus69? Nice...

I don't care about what your name is, so long as you have the card I want and the feedback to show me you're not going to dickasaurus me around, we'll work fine together.

I miss Craig and wish he'd join HI.

If your ebay name may be offensive to some people and you know it then why do you have it in the first place ? Are you trying to offend people ?

Although I have never come across this particular problem, if the name was really offensive then yes I would avoid bidding on the card.

I never pay attention to the user name. As long as the feedback is decent I will bid if it is a card I need.

Only if the name really jumps out do I avoid strictly based on name.
I think there was a "ballstochin" guy on Ebay a while ago (maybe still)......nuff said.

My ebay handle is the same as my email....carmichael_pt, then I started to join some hobby sites and they didn't like the underscore, so i effectively became carmichaelpt.

Back on topic, I look at feedback more so then username. I am not good at making out "Bumper Stumper" usernames to begin with, so unless it is blatent, I won't figure it out. I also don't offend easily.

I will admit to being a complete ethical fraud on this one. If the name is offensive I will move on with my nose in the air. UNLESS it is a card I realllllllly reallllllly want. Then I couldn't care if the users name is Imagonaputmy----inya---

Unless the ebayer name suggest he is altering card board (cardboardpimpin, card doctor, sheet cut guy) , i wouldnt pass up on a card because of a seller name.

I can see your name beeing offensive by poeple who are offended by everything but you dont whant to deal with them anyway.;)

Quote of the day, if only for the Bumper Stumpers reference. You've made Al Dubois proud.

Feedback is most important, but firstly its the AMOUNT of feedback they got. I try to stay away from sellers with less than 500. If there is a negative in the last 12 months, I might look to see what it was about, but usually if I'm looking at an item I actually care about losing money on.
