ebay question

What amount do they hold funds untill the buyer releases it? or is this ever the case...I reade someone had this happen...I have 2 high priced (should sell for at lease 400.00 each)Carey Price cards(would have sold for double if I wasn't a freaking moron and sold them 8 months ago). I am not into risking some smart @ss trying to pull a fast one if funds would be held till they confirm getting it. Maybe I am paranoid but rather be paranoid than out 800 before ebay/paypal gets me for the fees)

well it depends on how much you sell, they are only supposed to be holding your funds if they are unusually high amounts for you... If you sell alot I don't think they will hold the funds..

There's no "amount" as such. Payment methods like eChecks hold funds availability, but that's the most I've experienced.

The buyer should never be the one releasing the funds unless it's some sort of escrow service.

Don't send the card until the funds are in your paypal account. Paypal is just confirming that the funds are available on the buyers end. I just went through this last week. Mind you it was a little more then $400. I had to wait an extra week to get the money. Then after it was in my account I sent the card. I don't know if this helps but there ya go. Oh, and they probably won't hold $400 anyway.

Wait until it clears. eChecks can take up to a week if it's from another country. If buyers have new accounts Paypal holds the money for a few days, I think 4.
