Ebay Shipping Question

I recently purchased a phaneuf/lidstrom/niedermayer/chara 2on2 jersey card on ebay , it came shipped in a bubble mailer and it was taped in a sandwich between 2 UD filler cards, the card was sticking out a slight bit and one corner has a minor ding so my question to you is what feedback should i leave (i only paid 2 dollars shipping), the card is a pc item

So it wasnt in a toploader Dallon? Just between two pieces of cardboard?? If so....thats terrible.:mad::mad: I had a white envelope shipper recently, I left a neutral with a comment about their shipping....but some feel differently. Its your call.....
 
I wouldn't ding them with a neg, first of all you only paid $2 and secondly I know that not everyone has every single size of toploaders and those 2on2 cards are somewhat odd in thickness. Its too bad it was dinged in a corner because I bought one of those a year ago and the seller did the same but the card came without damage. I would say neutral since it was damaged a bit.
 
Before dinging the seller for anything - let them know that the card is damaged. If I were the seller, I would want a chance to make things right before someone just left negative feedback.

Also, if there was a scan of the card in the listing, review it to make sure that the card didn't already have the dinged corner.

I second that...but if the seller gives the "that's not my problem" attitude to your response, I would be giving a neutral at a minimum.

I mean, if the seller ships the card with a corner of the card sticking out of two peices of sandwiched cardboard, it doesn't exactly speak volumes to the fact that they actually gave a care when shipping the card to you.

Usually sellers with a high feedback rating, won't likely be taking the chance to dissapoint you, if they know they made a mistake. I hope it works out for you!

regardless of what you paid for shipping i think if the seller is unwilling to work towards a suitable resolution with you I would ding them with the negative.
you paid for something you didn't receive as described based on someones negligence.

also check the picture make sure the ding wasn't there prior to purchase, as someone else said.

also concerning various top loader sizes: it's the sellers responsibility to ensure the product they sell arrives at it's destination as described. if you don't have means to properly ship an item, then you shouldn't be selling it, simple as that.

Well put. Most sellers will be willing to compensate or reimburse you but there's a chance that someone who puts so little consideration into their packaging isn't too worried about customer satisfaction. Leaving the appropriate FB can be a warning to others.
 
Give the seller a chance. He is responsible, he should have the proper shipping procedures and materials in place before he sells on ebay.
