Ever 'accidentally' buy a card?

Sent an offer trying to feel around for the sellers price. To my surprise he accepted it. Huh. Turned out to be a nice first Father's Day present.

The accidental purchase is the Engrained Autographed Complete Sticks /25. The other two are pack pulls from over the years.

And no, I've never done that. Any cards I've sent offers on I wanted to purchase, whether the offer was accepted or not.

I have bought cards that I thought I was missing, only to find out that I do have a copy already. Whoops!

Add me to this list. Just had to go through all of my scans one by one with my binders in front of me to see what ones I was missing since there were 3 in my last COMC order that I already owned!

On the surprising offer side, I have for sure had offers I expected to be countered accepted. Just never know. Magnificent addition!

Haha, this was one of the reasons why I decided to make my own website to help catalogue my collection. Granted, I only have a few 100 cards vs some collectors who have 1000's, but it helped me figure out what I have/need much easier.

Been there done that, I feel I have some pretty good record keeping, scanning, and even my own searchable site I can check. Guess what with 3200+ unique Mario's, you will end up buying one you already have. The opposite also occurs once in a while, when you buy a lot of cards thinking there was nothing there and guess what there was something in there.

No, but I've been close. Good thing I have my online visual aid with my Flickr account. I've seen autographed base cards or obscure parallels/show cards come up that I didn't think I had, but a quick browse proved me wrong.
