So the other night my wife and I are at Target, and I see they have the $9.99 Fairfield Guaranteed Memorabilia plus one pack, plastic cases.
I have not bought much lately, for a number of family/personal/financial reasons, so I decide what the heck lets try my luck. We get in the car and I have at the package, its well secured.

I get into it and instantly see the pack. A double UD pack, which yielded zero RC, one Rookie headliner and an Ovechkin base card. I think thats about right for these not expecting anything at all from the pack. I look for the sleeve that contains my inevitable D. Weight plain white jersey from an over produced set (or any number of similar very minor stars I always pull - no offense Mr Weight). But my searching the thin plastic sleeve nets nothing.

NO memorabilia card, $9.99, for the worse pack of 06/07 UD in the history of cards. :|

All I could do was laugh. My wife wanted me to bring it in and exchange it. I didnt think they would believe me, if they did thats bad business on them! But I didnt want to even try or be that person. So I took my minor but funny kick to the junk, like a good sport.

This happen to any of you, has Fairfield gone south on there QC?
I hope this is just an oddity because I usta enjoy buying those packs, when I knew I would get what was advertised. :)

Thanks or hearing me out...

good luck with the Fairfield stuff anymore ......I got a guaranteed memo pack this past winter and the card was DESTROYED ...couldnt find an emal or anything for them anymore

If you're buying wax, other than directly from a reliable hobby shop, there's really no telling who's opened/stolen/re-sealed your wax.

Now Ironcially, I once bought a fairfield pack which was labled as havign a $50 BV or higher hockey GU card in it. I got a Ptrick Roy 2000-01 Titanium Game Used Stick card #/255, whcih was listed at $40, but was 4 color with abotu 7 breaks. I boguth it abotu two years agio, sold it a few months ago for $50+, so it worked out good for me.

Yeah I usta buy the $19.99 packs and got some great patches from them. The $9.99 packs are usually junk but still ok to buy for the fun of it.
