He got the Flashback Fabrics Wayne Gretzky 1/1 (jersey+auto) and maybe he'd like to sell it....he's asking for a hella high price IMO, but said he can brign it down a little.
Do not have a pic for now, but supose to send me one .
for those interested, make offers by PM. bu hey, juste to let you know that **no names** sell gor 12-15 Thousands....so be reallistic with offer.

thank you.

it is NOT a joke....

If you live in montreal i can give you the address where to go to see it ;)
we put it in a *coin du jouet* store.

It has a small part of the store wich is hockey cards, and is it Mike Bossy'S brother who's working there (for cards only)

WHy should it bea joke? just because i'm new? Full of BS

Flashback Fabrics are a SPX subset, not SPGU. If your friend is hoping to be shown 12000 to 15000 or better for this card then I wish him luck on a scale of hopefully winning the 649 Lottery. Chances are nil and none. Good luck just the same :). -Mike

sorry then SPX.

He knows he's probably not selling, but not sure he WANTS to sell it...lol
he set a price at 20 000$.

but man, everyone living near montreal should go and see that beauty...really worth the looking!

I bet it is a beauty but that being said with the proliferation of 1 of 1's in the market place a price of 20,000 is a bit unrealistic  . But you have to give an 'A' for effort :). Thanks for bringing it to our attention. -Mike:)

Im sure its a nice card but the asking price is a bit steep. I think this card was talked about on the other site and a pic was shown of it though.

maybe you guys get tell me how much you think that this is worth...
i'll tell him and maybe he'll be ready to sell it....i would...lol

we are not HUGE collectors, it is more for fun of opening boxes and packs, most of the time resell eveything excepts what we collect.

I understand the right to ask for whatever price you'd like, but I would certainly like to see some facts to back up the "no names sell for 12-15 thousand" statement.

Never seen a "no name" sell for anywhere near that, I think someone on these board picked up the Richard Brodeur 1/1 for under $200 , it's also stated under recent sales in the latest guide if I recall.

As for other comments, I'll keep them to myself ;)

oh well, that's what i was told about he other one's.

Anywayz that'S the price he wants i ignore if he'll getit or not this is not my buisness.

Just wanted to report it here because it wa supose to be COLLECTORS, and not PROFESSIONNAL BASHERS.

Anywayz for those interested just to see it.
Just go to LE COIN DU JOUET, at the CARREFOUR ANGRIGNON, in LaSalle.

Not bashing, just a thopught out opinion:

20 grand is money that people spend on a car or a downpayment on a house. not a hockey card. 5 grand maybe for a hardcore gretzky collector, but there are several 1/1's floating out there.

again just an opinion

You guys are all way off base, I think $18-20,000 is very fair and almost a stealish price.. as it is a 1/1 with a sticker auto on it as well.. i think if he put it on ebay he would get $23,000-26,000 easily.. I think your friend is selling too cheaply at the price he has on it at the store, "real" collectors know that that is a minimum of $25K in the pocket, good as gold!

L

Ok Megatron your really going to confuse the guy.

If you can't tell he was being sarcastic.

The cards $4-5K tops (for a hardcore gretzky guy). Probably more like mid 2K.

I think even two thousand dollars is pushing it. There's been several 1/1 Gretzky Jersey/Autos from The Cup in the last few weeks - a hardsigned jersey/autograph from the highest of high end products - and THOSE haven't even cleared $4000 regularly.

The regular Gretzky Flashback Fabrics jersey/auto goes for ridiculous money mainly because of competition between set collectors and player collectors. Neither group is known to be particularly avid in going after 1/1s.

Bottom line: Your friend the store owner is dreaming in technicolor if he thinks he's ever going to see even $10,000 from the card. When he's prepared to deal in reality and not the realm of unbridled fantasy, he might find a buyer.

I resent that :D I am never sarcastic, i am a very serious person :p
L

I almost bought it Lionel until I realized it was your post :p . The days of 1 of 1 Gretzky auto cards/memorabilia are slipping into the past. If this particular card garnishes a penny over 2 grand you can color me surprised :). -Mike
