the most Steve will do is say yes or no if an item is in his store - he will flat out refuse to cut you a price on the phone (it may be different for out-of-towners)

No, you don't wanna do that. Dig out some old reruns of WKRP in Cincinnati. Give Herb Tarlek a black turtleneck sweater instead of the 70s disco suits and you're getting close. Maybe hose him down with cooking oil to get the greasiness right.

The man is a con, just not a very good one. I guarantee you that any price he has on a box is usually 1.5 - 2 times higher than any other table at any given show. Funny thing is, if you tell him that someone else is selling it for lower, he'll either:
1: Call the other dealer a crook (I once told another dealer at the expo that Steve called him a crook - We both had a good 5 minute laugh about it)
2: Try and convince you that you asked him about a completely different Box
3: Accuse you of trying to BS him out of his product.

I know he's on Yonge St, and the coat of renting is so high, but how does he do it ?? He's not that close to the ACC or Skydome ( oops Rogers Center ).
If I ever wanted to see a place close down it would be his, Ahh is Legends of The Game still open ?? I want to buy some 1991 Donruss Baseball from them for $16.95/box lol

No idea what the rent is at that store, but its just a short walk south of one of the 2 busiest street corners in the country. Tons of tourists and people who otherwise wouldn;t know better in the area, so its easy to take advantage of the situation.

$4 for a Kelly Gruber card, or 89 Donruss MVP of George Bell $6.95 lol -- I think that he where he got taught how to sell, and whatever happened to that one place on Yonge near the Hall of Fame, it was above a T-shirt store I think, they were cool
I will say that Toronto is the best sports town, but mostly over-priced also if they are near Downtown.
