feedback question from the bay

My understanding was that with the new policy in place a seller was going to be unable to leave buyers a negative feedback.I sold an item back about a month ago.The buyer had "0" feedback.But like we all say.We all were at 0 at some point so it was no big deal.Well they did not pay me and apperantly they did not pay other people either because they have 2 negative feedbacks and are no no longer a registered user.
My question is,I now have another person who has not paid and who has not responded and also is a "0" feedback person.I want to leave them a negative before I file for my final value credit back.Can I leave a negative?Or should I even bother.Take my final value credit,relist the card and move on.What do you think.Thanks,Winston.

I think that once you have filed the non-paying bidder claim and the time has passed without the buyer responding to the request - then you can leave the negative and close the NPB claim. Do them both at about the same time because if you leave the neg without closing the NPB the bidder can still leave you a neg. Also, if your bidder/buyer responds to the NPB - that entitles them to still leave a feedback UNLESS you respond after them. Bottom line -- you as the seller has to 'get the last word in' on the whole NPB process in order for your buyer to NOT be able to leave you a feedback (found that out the HARD way and good ole eBay allows it ).

Just to add - I too thought that it was no longer possible for the sellers to leave a neg for the buyer BUT maybe the 2 that you see for your buyer were before the new rules took place which would make them grandfathered.

With a "0" feedback person, I would just take the credit and move on. Let someone else do the negative thing, that way they can't hit you back with a neg.

Holy **** - does that sound like the typical answer lately!!Let someone else (probably numerous people) have the hassle of dealing with these losers because I don't want to chance getting a negative feedback - my god - my world will end as I know it if I get one!

That mindset is just putting the troublesome scumbag problems on someone else instead of cutting it off at the head RIGHT NOW.

It is about time that people started being responsible to their fellow eBayers/traders - and forget about the damn NEGATIVE feedback YOU MAY RECEIVE.

You can comment on the neg if you get one and people DO read the whole comment on a Negative.

SO TIRED OF THIS TYPE OF ATTITUDE!!!
