Final Vault Contest

Wow, so many incredible cards in this thread! Thanks for doing this Mr. Price! Very generous of you! I've always enjoyed collecting ITG cards of my favourite players and this One of a Kind Fleury is my favourite one!

 
I'd have to go with a piece from my favorite set. The piece on this one tells more than thousand words.

These new entries are making our decision more and more difficult.

The Plante Skatelace card is off the charts, one of my favorite insert sets.

The piece from the Hextall pads is also amazing as is the patch from the Fleury One-Of-A-Kind.

This is going to be fun and difficult at the same time.

i have a few ITG cards that I can choose from, but this is probably the most memorable and my favourite because of what i had to go through to get this card in hand



this was probably the marquee card to get from 03-04 Parkhurst as Kari Lehtonen was one of the rookies to get, and being a late rookie to debut, he didn't have many cards. As a goalies' rookie card collector, I was pumped to know that ITG would have his autograph rookie, I didn't think UD had his auto rookie either, so this was the card to get at the time.

So I saved up and finally able to obtain it, but out of some reason, the seller noticed a flaw on the original card and decided to send the card back to ITG to get it replaced. I was in awe, and probably not in a good way.

I forgot how long I waited, but probably be close to half a year, and I finally heard back from the seller, and he scanned me you see above, I was surprised to see the card featured a 2 colour swatch !! I remember the seller told me that you guys have to reprint the card just for this occasion. So, I believed this copy was probably the only copy that featured a multi colour swatch.
 
Hockey Great and ITG Quality - Combo

First, I truly enjoy my ITG collection of Jean Beliveau!

Second, I will post one card for the contest and one for added interest. The card I am submitting is the ITG Ultimate 11th Edition Superbox GU Mem (White/Red apparently piece of old wool sweater sleeve) Jean Beliveau #01/01. This mem. has a bulging stitch seam!



Third, I am adding for interest only its sister card the ITG Ultimate 11th Edition Superbox GU Mem and Auto (White/Blue/White apparently piece of sock) Jean Beliveau #01/01. This card reflects the highest quality of ITG products with a premier player, premium AU and superior triple color piece of mem.

I loved putting this subset together when they first came out. Nothing better than having card #1 of the complete Les Capitaines set

Didn't remember you completed the subset. Congrats I know of 3 sets put together, all here on HI.

I have to agree with the above comments. Totally a killer set. I like the uniqueness of this set. Something that hadn't really been done before. And the cards themselves turned out, great. I actually have a good amount of these in my PC. Primarily just focused on the vintage players. But the checklist for this set was intense. Good to see some of these making their homes in some of HI's finest collection(s). Thanks for taking the time to share,

LOVE this thread. ITG always did GU better than anyone, and they are my favourite cards in my Osgood collection.

Here are a few of my faves, anyway. Too hard to pick just one!

PS, never was able to figure out how to properly scan encapsulated cards like Ultimate Memorabilia -- Anyone out there got some tips so that they don't come out so blurry???
