About time that Daltie McTaxy realized the benefits of legalizing MMA in Ontario. March 26 2011 is the date that's been tentatively booked at the Rogers Centre. Should be fun!

Okay, so the articles I've been reading claim that allowing MMA in Ontario will bring another $6 million into the government coffers... $6 million? that's it? No wonder it took them so long to review it - there was absolutely nothing in it for the provincial government.

I'm also curious to see if they adopt the rules as they exist now - there is no guarantee Ontario will interpret what is safe the way other provinces and states do.

If I'm not mistaken, the $6 million figure was tied to UFC event/events. The figure will rise substantially with other organizations (are you there, King of the Cage?) stepping in to promote events.
